ANA ZAVADLAV
is a painter and an Illustrator. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana, in 1997, completing the Painting programme led by Prof. Janez Bernik. She continued her studies in printmaking and in 1999 she attended an advanced study course in printmaking at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, the USA.
She has been a member of the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies (ZDSLU) since 2000.
Since 2003 she has dedicated her creative work to children’s book illustration while also illustrating books for young readers. She collaborates with the main publishing houses in Slovenia, regularly contributing her illustrations to the best-known literary magazines for children in Slovenia, Ciciban and Cicido.
